There have been many changes in the API’s from prior versions, and this is your chance to get up to speed and ask questions. New to the platform? There is plenty for you too, as you will get a full overview of what is available to you as you build your app using the latest FamilySearch APIs.

Ryan Heaton

Profile

Ryan Heaton is a senior software engineer at FamilySearch. His current responsibilities are focused on enabling cross-platform genealogical data communications. To this end, he’s currently filling the role of tech lead for the GEDCOM X project and for the FamilySearch Developer Platform. His passion for APIs has influenced the FamilySearch Developer Platform since it’s inception, and he’s been also been invited to share his expertise at a handful of professional conferences and online publications around the world.

Justin York

Justin York is a recent graduate from Brigham Young University’s Computer Science program. He has years of experience in developing and using web services. The only hobby he can claim is genealogy. He enjoys his position at FamilySearch too much.
