Description

Findmypast.com is one of the leading online sources of historical records for genealogists, with almost 2 billion fully indexed records. The collection includes the complete US censuses from 1790-1940, and is particularly strong on records from England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Australia and New Zealand.

With several hundred distinct record sets, knowing how to get the best from the powerful search engine is the key to unlocking the many treasures contained within these collections.

Demonstrating worked examples of searches, you will be introduced to some of the highlights of findmypast, including the acclaimed ‘core’ records of the census, vital records and parish record collections, as well as exclusive content, such as the British Library’s newspaper archive, prison and court records, passenger lists, and military records – the colourful material that helps to bring your family history to life.
