Description

The timeline grid is a simple but powerful way to build a “snapshot” of a family through time, making it easy to do comparisons, spot trends, and see gaps.

You can create a timeline grid in any application that supports tables or spreadsheets, such as Google Drive, Microsoft Word or Excel.

Since it’s electronic, the grid offers benefits you don’t get with paper: you can copy and paste to reduce errors, include hyperlinks to sources, and even color code entries.

This workshop will demonstrate the timeline grid and then allow hands-on time for practice. Please bring your laptop or tablet.
